From January 25 to 26, Japan Coast Guard held an online seminar on UNCLOS and workshop on human resource development with BAKAMLA (Indonesia Coast Guard) under the framework of JICA via online.

　About 150 participants from 7 Indonesian organizations commencing with DG PSDK from KKP and Ministry of foreign Affairs attended the seminar on UNCLOS.

　During the workshop on human resource development, both BAKAMLA and JCG introduced outline of the organization and the policy of the human resource development each other. It was a very good opportunity to deepen mutual understanding between the two coast guards and consider more effective support for BAKAMLA. Japan Coast Guard will continue to strengthen the cooperation with BAKAMLA in conjunction with providing foreign coast guard agencies with capacity building support on maritime safety and security.
