The MCT conducted an online training with Indonesia Coast Guard

Japan Coast Guard Mobile Cooperation Team (MCT) had an online training on Maritime Law Enforcement between Indonesia Coast Guard (BAKAMLA) officials, July 13th to 14th, 2021. A Japan Coast Guard Academy professor gave a lecture on "UNCLOS" (United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea) and MCT gave a lecture on "On-site inspection" on the first day. On the second day, we conducted practical trainings on "On-site inspection" and "Arresting technique" regarding the lectures on preceding day.

We arranged this online training to comply with the demands of BAKAMLA, more practical contents based on two online trainings last year. We had a lively discussion in the Q&A section. And participants of BAKAMLA gave us their opinions that these lectures were very helpful trainings for BAKAMLA.

We Japan Coast Guard will continue to strengthen connection with foreign coast guards toward the realization of the FOIP (Free and Open Indo-Pacific).
