The Training Ship "KOJIMA" with 46 cadets has begun international training cruise.
The training ship "KOJIMA" with 46 cadets has left her station, Kure, on 8th of June.
The total distance of the cruise is about 9,940 miles and they will come back to the station on 15th July. They are planning to visit to Honolulu and Palau (the first port call by KOJIMA).
They aren't able to carry out the cruise around the world following last year due to Covid-19.
However, the cadets didn't discourage, they set sail on an international training cruise after very hard domestic training cruise around Japan.
Cadets will acquire operational abilities as a junior officer and international awareness through this training.
On their departure, Commandant Okushima encouraged them "I wish you to come back successfully, and hope you to improve your skills and knowledge to become a more essential officer for JCG. Von voyage!!"
