The U.S. Coast Guard and the Japan Coast Guard conducted the joint exercise near the Ogasawara Islands of Japan on Feb 21, 2021. The JCG vessel Akitsushima and USCG cutter Kimball participated in the exercise on law enforcement at sea against a foreign fishing boat.
