The mission of JCG is "to ensure maritime safety and security." In order to fulfill this mission in the vast sea, we conduct various operations, such as ensuring of security, marine rescue, conservation of marine environment, response to natural disasters, oceanographic research, collection, management and provision of maritime information, and securing of the safety of the ship traffic while strengthening the collaboration and cooperation system not only with relevant domestic organizations but also overseas coast guard agencies.
